    CCCDA Board Nominations and Elections Information

    Mission Statement: The purpose of the CCCDA shall be to promote a greater understanding of the meaning of work and careers, to foster career development over the life span, and to establish, support, and improve standards for professional service in the field of career guidance and counseling in Connecticut.

    The 2025 CCCDA Nominations and Elections Committee seeks applications for the following board positions:

  • President-Elect (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026) 3-year commitment; President (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027), and Immediate past president (July 1, 2027 – June 30, 2028) 
  • Trustee (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2027) 2-year commitment
  • For self-nominations, please include:

  • A one to two paragraph statement of interest in serving the CCCDA membership and community 
  • A copy of your CV
  • If nominating someone please include:

  • Contact information for nominee (name, email)
  • A one to two paragraph statement on why you believe the nominee should be considered
  • A copy of the nominee’s CV
  • Nominations for these positions are due no later than May 23, 2025 at 11:59pm. Please send nominations or any questions to Dr. Dawn Sherman, CCCDA Immediate Past President, at dsherman@post.edu

    The President-Elect shall:

  • 1.          Perform the duties of the President in the event of their absence or incapacity.
  • 2.          Serve as a member of the CCCDA Board.
  • 3.          Carry out such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the CCCDA Board.
  •  

    The Trustees shall:

  • 1.          Serve as members of the CCCDA Board.
  • 2.          Attend meetings of the CCCDA Board of Directors and fulfill the functions and responsibilities of that body.
