NOONTIME CONVERSATIONS - Free, one hour topic focused discussions led by CCCDA counselors and guest speakers on subjects of interest to career specialists.  Join us for lively conversation to update your skill set and network with other professionals.

October's speaker: Dr. Javier F. Casado Pérez.  Assistant Professor of Counselor Education, Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Casado Pérez serves on Penn State's University Senate and their research interests include racial trauma-informed gender-affirming care, and adolescent and emerging adult mental health literacy.   

This month's topic explores interpersonal experiences of oppression, career sustainability, and oppositional courage. Attendees will be invited to discuss challenges, fears and hopes related to their own experiences of navigating career as students/professionals of color, or as professionals who offer support to students of color.
